 Welcome to The Local Music Foundation's home on the web. The LMF was founded November 2002 as a means of helping local & regional musicians be heard, and to promote unity within the southern NY/northern PA music scene. THE LMF PROUDLY USES MERCH PROVIDED BY: 
LMF NEWS: 1/05/04 FREE MP3 links have been added for HYPHEMA and FROM THESE ASHES. The links can be found on the lower left hand side of this page. The MP3's are hosted by SoundClick.com, where both bands also have bios, contact & song info, as well as message boards & mailing lists. LMF NEWS: 12/29/03 HYPHEMA have been taking some time off for the Holidays and preparing for their 2004 return to the Twin Tiers music scene. Those who haven't heard the band in awhile can expect a bunch of new material along with many new cover songs. HYPHEMA bassist JR Tubbs left the band and moved to Ohio to pursue better career opportunites. Jim Cady (formerly of FERULE, and also worked on the sound crew for BACKSTREET LAW) has filled the bass slot left vacant by JR. We all wish JR the best, and welcome Jimmy to the family. In other HYPHEMA news, HYPHEMA.net has been out of commission for quite a long time and we apologize for the inconvenience. Problems have plagued the site right and left, but look for the site's return sometime in early to mid 2004. In the meantime, stay tuned to this site for any breaking news or details on the band. FROM THESE ASHES have been writing and rehearsing both original and cover material for their live performances. Watch their website for the latest details on where and when they'll be playng next. Songs from the band's "Severed WIngs" CD have been enjoying positive feedback and downloading on such internet sites as SoundClick.com and Broadjam.com. "Severed Wings" is also receiving airplay on Elmira NY's WNGZ 104.9, Ithaca NY's WVBR 93.5 & Geneva NY's 89.7 FM. The band will be entering the studio sometime in early to mid 2004 and begin work on their second CD. Stay tuned for more details. UNLEADED have been on a long hiatus but as of yesterday are back in action. All the work that was previously done on their debut CD has been scrapped. The duo will be starting from scratch when they begin work yet once again on their long overdue, highly anticipated debut CD.
